The layers of flavor in this 12 oz jar of sauce is nothing short of magical and the infused flavor of Sangiovese wine brings the bold, rustic flavors of Italian casalinga cooking home. Recipe for A Presto Stew
1lb stew meat (beef or veal)
2 T. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 small onion sliced
handful of Italian parsley
1/2 jar of Tuscan Red Sauce
1/2 jar of water
Saute onion in olive oil until transparent and slightly caramelized. Add meat and brown. Add 1/2 jar of Tuscan Red Sauce and begin to simmer adding an additional 1/2 jar of water as needed to create a simmering sauce. You can add 2 carrots and 1-2 stalks of celery cut into 1 inch pieces if desired. Cook over low heat on stovetop for 1 hour.
Serve with polenta, pasta or potatoes.
*Can use slow cooker, tagine or dutch oven (Tramontina or Le Creuset)
